Adept System 1 : Anlytical Isocratic
This simple system is ideal for routine isocratic separations and
quality assurance applications. High sensitivity is provided by
the Adept CE4201 UV visible variable wavelength detector and precise
delivery of the mobile phase is provided by the Adept CE4100 solvent
delivery pump.
The Adept CE4100 dual piston pump provides flow rates from 0.001
to 10mL/min with a maximum operating pressure of 40MPa. The pump
head is constructed with ceramic inserts to provide bio- compatibility.
The CE4201 UV-visible detector operates over the wavelength range
190nm-700nm with automatic fast second order filter insertion at
370nm. With noise of ± 0.5 x 10-5A peak to peak at 240nm
and drift, at temperature equilibrium, typically ± 2 x 10-5A/hour,
the new Adept UV visible detectors offer the highest performance
available.

| A column-mounting panel, which carries the
Rheodyne injection valve, allows close coupling of the column to the
flowcell for minimum dead volume. The standard flowcell, 8µL
x 10mm pathlength, may be preceded by a heat exchanger for ultimate
performance, if required. Chromatograms may be plotted on a pen recorder
or an integrator. The system may be upgraded to provide data processing.
The system is supplied complete with solvent and pipe organiser CE4033
and installation kit 4150 01 00. |

Adept System 2 : Analytical Isocratic with Data Processing
This system uses the Adept CE4100 dual piston pump and the Adept
CE4200 dual wavelength detector for added flexibility and is provided
with PowerStream data processing software and interface unit, CE4901.
The interface unit is placed at the base of the stack for convenience
and minimum space requirement.
The CE4901 PowerStream software operating in Windows 98, 2000 or
later versions, offers the same data processing power as the CE4900
software but unlike the latter, offers no system control. The system
is supplied complete with solvent and pipe organiser CE4033, 8µL
x 10mm pathlength cell and installation kit 4150 01 00.
As an alternative the CE 4900 PowerStream system with full system
control, could be used allowing for expansion of the system at a
future date.

ADEPT SYSTEM 3 : Automatic Analytical Isocratic
Routine analysis of large numbers of samples may be carried out
using this system which requires minimum operator attention. System
control and data processing is provided by PowerStream software
and interface CE4900. The elegant, powerful and very easy to use
software operates in Windows 98, 2000 or later versions.
The CE4800 automatic sample injector accommodates up to 96 samples,
uses a Rheodyne injection valve, and offers a wide flexibility of
sampling, analysis, delay and wash volumes.

The system uses the Adept CE4100 dual piston analytical pump head
with delivery speeds from 0.001 to 10mL/min.
The detector is the Adept CE4200 dual wavelength monitor with a
low noise level of less than ± 0.5 x 10-5A peak to peak and
incredibly low drift of ± 2 x 10-5A/ hour at temperature
equilibrium. The standard 8µL x 10mm flowcell is supplied
but other cells may be used. The system is supplied complete with
solvent and pipe organiser CE4033 and installation kit 4500 01 01.

ADEPT SYSTEM 4 : Analytical Binary
Gradient
This gradient analytical system is shown here together with a column
oven which must be ordered extra if required.
Two Adept CE4100 dual piston pumps, with flow rates from 0.001
to 10mL/min and a maximum operating pressure of 40MPa, are used
with a dynamic mixer CE4120.
The Adept dual wavelength UV-visible detector CE4200 is used with
an 8µL x 10mm flowcell. A column-mounting panel fitted to
the detector carries the columns and the Rheodyne injector valve
which is complete with a 20µL loop. A cover for the column
is provided.
At the bottom of the stack, shown here, is the interface unit of
the CE4900 PowerStream system manager. The software provides full
system control and data processing using the latest versions of
MS-Windows.

by the Windows operating system. The system is supplied complete with

ADEPT SYSTEM 5 : Analytical Ternary Gradient
The ternary gradient system uses three Adept CE4100 pumps, each
providing flow rates from 0-001-10mL/min. A dynamic mixer CE4130
is provided with the system. For minimum space use, the system may
be stacked vertically, as shown. A lower profile configuration is
also shown in the picture below.

detector is fitted with the column-mounting panel which carries the
Rheodyne injection valve with a 20µL loop. The solvent bottle

with the installation kit 4150 03 00. |

supplied for full system control and data processing. The software

ADEPT SYSTEM 6 : Automatic Analytical Binary
Gradient
This binary gradient system uses a conveniently small amount of
space.
Two Adept CE4100 pumps are stacked on top of the CE4900 PowerStream
system manager interface. These pumps each deliver at flow rates
of 1-001 to 10mL/min and are connected to a dynamic mixer CE4120
placed on top of the dual wavelength detector CE4200 which is stacked
above the pumps.
The system stack is topped by the solvent bottle and pipe co-ordinator
CE4033 which mounts on top of the detector with the dynamic mixer
beside it.
The automatic sample injector CE4800 completes the system. The
sampler is fitted with a Rheodyne valve with 20µL loop and
carries up to 96 samples.

The very high performance of the detector with exceptionally low
drift provides a very stable system for extended measurements. Full
system control and data processing are provided by the PowerStream
system manager and software.
The system is supplied complete with installation kit 4150 02 01.

ADEPT SYSTEM 7 : Binary Gradient - Low Cost
This system offers the lowest cost binary gradient system. Consisting
of two Adept CE4100 pumps with analytical heads providing flow rates
from 0.001-10mL/min. controlled by the Adept CE4201 variable wavelength
detector.
Gradients may be set from the control panel of the Adept CE4201
detector which allows up to 10 timed events to be programmed. An
8µL x 10mm pathlength cell is provided.
The system may be used with a pen recorder for economy, but may
be upgraded at a latter date by the addition of a PowerStream system
manager with data processing, if required.

ADEPT SYSTEM 8 : Ion Chromatography
A wide range of applications is possible with this flexible isocratic
system. Single column ion chromatography or methods requiring a
suppressor module are both possible.
The sensitive conductivity detector, CE4710 with twelve ranges
from 0.01µS to 5000µS, houses the measuring cell in
a thermostatted environment and the suppressor module CE4715 is
available but not provided.

Solvent delivery is by the CE4100 dual piston pump. A Rheodyne
injection valve is provided fitted with a 100µL loop. A CE4600
chilled and heated column oven is supplied, also a CE4033 solvent
bottle and pipe guide organiser.
Data processing and system control are provided by the CE4900 interface
and software. Installation kit 4150 05 00 is supplied with the system.
For increased sensitivity a solid phase chemical suppressor module
CE4715 is available.
