We presently have vacancies for the following positions:

Chemist / Biochemist

Cecil Instruments Limited, based in Cambridge, wishes to appoint a Chemist or Biochemist with sound experience in the techniques of UV-Visible Spectrophotometry and HPLC in all its variations.

The person appointed will be responsible for experimental applications, demonstrations and also the training of overseas and home sales staff in these techniques.

Colour measurements, reflectance measurements and fluorescent techniques will also be involved.

The applications and demonstration facilities of the Company are of the very highest standard and unique among its competitors. It’s product range is broad and of the highest quality with an excellent reputation for accuracy and reliability.


Production Test and Local Service Engineer

Cecil Instruments Limited requires a Production Test and Calibration Engineer, based in their Cambridge production facilities. The person appointed will also carry out service work mainly in an area easily accessible from Cambridge.

The job involves final adjustment, testing and calibration of the Company’s analytical instrument range. This includes a complete range of UV and visible spectrophotometers and all the modular units of a new advanced HPLC range.

Optical and mechanical adjustments are involved and a sound basic knowledge of electronics for fault finding.


Instrument Maker / Tool Maker

Cecil Instruments requires an experienced Instrument Maker or Tool Maker for development work on its analytical instrument range. A person with a wide range of light machining experience, able to set up and work on his own initiative will also be considered.

A certain amount of small batch production of special items will also be involved. The person appointed will be fully responsible for the development machine shop facilities in the Company’s Cambridge production facilities.
